- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thinly
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, add the ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer the sliced potatoes evenly across the bottom.
- Spoon the cooked ground beef over the potatoes.
- Dollop the cream of mushroom soup over the beef.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a crispier topping, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes. Consider adding vegetables for added nutrition.
