Delicious and chewy banana oatmeal bars, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats and cinnamon to the mashed bananas and mix well. If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup, nut butter, and any optional ingredients.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased or lined baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  6. Let it cool before slicing into bars.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
