Ingredients
1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed Cream of Mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
4 cups cut green beans (2 cans, one 16-ounce package frozen, or 1 1/2 pounds fresh)
1 1/3 cups crispy French fried onions, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9×9 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
2. If using fresh green beans, blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes. If using canned, drain them well.
3. In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Stir in the soy sauce.
4. Add the green beans, 2/3 cup of the crispy onions, and pepper to the soup mixture. Mix everything together well.
5. Spread the green bean mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
6. To Cook in the Air Fryer: Bake for 10 minutes. Stir the casserole, then top with the remaining onions and cook for 2 more minutes.
7. To Cook in the Oven: Bake for 25 minutes. Stir, then sprinkle the remaining onions on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
• For added flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or a dash of garlic powder.
• Fresh green beans give a firmer texture, but canned are great for convenience.
• Use low-sodium soup to reduce overall salt content.
