Delightful chocolate croissants with flaky layers and a rich, gooey chocolate center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 3 oz dark chocolate (high-quality)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry until it’s about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. Cut the pastry into large triangles, roughly 4 inches at the base.
  4. Place a piece of dark chocolate near the base of each triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle from the base to the tip, tucking in the edges slightly as you go to keep the filling secure.
  6. Brush the tops of each croissant with egg wash and sprinkle a little sugar for extra sweetness and crunch.
  7. Bake in your preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and flaky.
  8. Let them cool slightly before serving warm and enjoying.

Notes

Serve with powdered sugar, coffee, or fruit. Freeze leftovers for longer storage.
