Ingredients
10 fresh Rosemary sprigs (more or less depending on size)
1 celery stalk
Red, green, and black seedless grapes (clipped into small clusters or stemmed)
4 ounces sharp cheddar, cut into ¾-inch squares
4 ounces Monterey Jack, cut into ¾-inch squares
4 ounces mild or medium cheddar, cut into ¾-inch squares
½ cup fresh cranberries
1–2 star fruits, sliced
1 cup assorted nuts
1 green kiwi fruit, sliced
Instructions
1. On your serving platter, use the rosemary sprigs to create the outline of a Christmas tree, starting narrow at the top and fanning out towards the bottom.
2. Place the celery stalk at the base to act as the tree trunk.
3. Begin arranging your ingredients in rows from the bottom up, making each row narrower than the last. Alternate rows of cheese and different colored grapes.
4. Place the sliced kiwi in a triangle shape at the very top of the tree.
5. Top the tree with a slice of star fruit. Randomly place additional star fruit slices, cranberries, and assorted nuts around the tree to look like ornaments.
6. For a finishing touch, you can arrange nuts (like almonds) in a square shape at the base of the celery trunk to look like a tree stand.
7. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Notes
Feel free to customize! You can add rows of rolled-up deli meats or use any variety of your favorite cheeses.
If you can’t find star fruit, use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to make stars out of cheese slices for the top of the tree and for extra decorations.
