- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to an even thickness.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Pour in heavy cream, deglaze the pan, and stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Simmer sauce until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
- Return chicken to skillet, allowing to simmer in sauce for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in Italian seasoning for an hour before cooking. You can customize the dish by adding mushrooms, spinach, or sun-dried tomatoes.
