  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a tablespoon, drop balls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers appear slightly soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
