Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder and dried parsley until well combined.
- Spread this garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread, ensuring to reach all the edges.
- Place two slices of bread butter-side down in your skillet and sprinkle half the cheese on each slice.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Heat a skillet over low heat; a drop of water should sizzle upon contact when ready.
- Cook the sandwiches for 4–5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Remove from the pan, slice, and serve immediately.
Notes
For best flavor, use high-quality butter. Substitute garlic powder with fresh minced garlic if desired, using less to avoid overpowering the taste. Explore different bread types like sourdough or crusty Italian for a twist.
