Ingredients

- 6 slices of bread
- 1 cup thinly shredded cheese
- 6 thinly sliced ham (optional)
- 2 tbsp of butter
Instructions
- Trim the crusts off the bread slices.
- Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread gently.
- Add cheese on top of the flattened bread, and if desired, a slice of ham.
- Roll the bread up tightly, tucking in the ends, and secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter to melt.
- Place the roll-ups in the pan and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, turning them until golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove from the pan, cut in half if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Pair with tomato soup for dipping or a fresh salad. Experiment with different cheese combinations for varied flavors.
