- 12 slider rolls
- 12 slices of ham
- 12 slices of cheese (Swiss or cheddar)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping them connected at the back.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish, cut side up.
- Layer the ham and then the cheese on top of the rolls, ensuring even coverage.
- Replace the top half of the rolls over the fillings.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, stirring in the Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Brush this luscious mixture generously over the top of the slider rolls.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and everything is warmed through.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the top is golden and slightly crispy.
- Slice into portions and serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or freeze for longer storage. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
