  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy—about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture. Beat until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mix to the wet, stirring until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and soft in the center.
  8. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack for complete cooling.
