- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, bell pepper, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- Spread the remaining ketchup on top.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
To customize, try adding chopped garlic or herbs for extra flavor. Let rest after baking for the juiciest slices.
