- 1 medium yellow onion (quartered)
- 1 cup fresh parsley (washed and patted dry)
- 600 grams ground beef (lean)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon seven spice (pre-mixed spice blend)
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne (more to taste)
Instructions
- In the bowl of your food processor, add the quartered onion and fresh parsley. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl and combine it with the ground beef, salt, black pepper, seven spice, and cayenne.
- Mold a handful of the mixture around skewers, ensuring the meat is about 1 to 1.5 inches thick.
- Preheat your charcoal or gas grill to medium-high and brush the grates with oil.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook one side for about 4 minutes. Turn over and grill for another 4 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, consider using wood or flavored charcoal when grilling outdoors. These kebabs can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to grill.
