A rich and cheesy parmesan chicken dish that’s simple to prepare yet impressively delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the bread crumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  4. Place the flour in a third shallow dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add the breaded chicken breasts in batches, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  7. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the remaining Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, and minced garlic, then top each chicken breast with this cheesy mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbling and slightly golden.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly grated cheeses and consider adding fresh herbs.
