- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for glazing)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, 1/4 cup of ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, avoiding over-mixing.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, blend the brown sugar, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce, then spread the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Let the meatloaf sit for 10 minutes after baking for easy slicing. Customize glaze as desired.
