A classic recipe for rich and creamy fudge that balances sweetness and richness beautifully.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 16 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
  2. Allow to boil for about 4-5 minutes without stirring until it reaches the soft ball stage, about 234°F.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy.
  4. Gently fold in chopped nuts if using.
  5. Pour the fudge into a greased 8×8 inch square pan and let it cool at room temperature until it sets.
  6. Once set, cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

Consider toasting nuts for added flavor and texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for longer storage.
