Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until the mixture melts and becomes cohesive and smooth.
- Remove the pan from heat and fold in the vanilla extract along with the chopped nuts, if using.
- Pour the silky fudge mixture into a greased 8-inch square pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Let the fudge sit at room temperature until set, or refrigerate for quicker cooling.
- Once firm, cut into squares and enjoy!
