- 2 tablespoons of pesto
- Butter or olive oil for grilling
Instructions
- Begin by heating a skillet over medium heat until the oil shimmers.
- Spread a generous amount of pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the pesto side of one slice, layer a slice of cheese, then crown it with the second slice of bread, pesto side down.
- Butter the outer sides of the sandwich.
- Place the sandwich in the hot skillet and grill for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, experiment with different types of cheese or add extra ingredients like tomatoes or spinach.
