- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons A-1 sauce
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
- 4 toasted buns
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Add chopped onion and green pepper, sautéing until softened (about 3-5 minutes).
- Stir in beef broth, A-1 sauce, and steak seasoning; bring to a simmer.
- Let cook for 5-10 minutes until flavors meld and sauce thickens slightly.
- Spoon the mixture onto toasted buns and top each with a slice of provolone cheese.
- Allow the cheese to melt slightly and serve, optionally garnished with parsley or red pepper flakes.
Notes
Can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. Toast buns with butter for extra flavor.
