Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger to create a fragrant marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl, ensuring each piece is generously coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the marinated wings evenly on a baking sheet, ensuring they’re not overcrowded. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze: In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and water. Whisk to blend, then stir this mixture into the remaining marinade in the saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
- Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in the sticky glaze, ensuring each wing is perfectly coated. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
For an extra crispy wing, pat them dry before marinating. Adjust the marinade for your flavor preference. Feel free to use air fryer for a quicker cooking option.
