- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
- 1/2 zucchini, sliced
- 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup steamed white rice
Instructions
- Prepare all your vegetables—wash and chop them into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic.
- Measure out your sauces and seasonings.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add sesame oil and minced garlic, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and break it into small pieces, cooking until browned (about 5–7 minutes).
- Stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar; let simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic for another 30 seconds.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes before adding broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper; stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add soy sauce to the vegetables and toss everything together.
- Plate steamed rice in bowls and arrange beef and vegetables on top. Drizzle with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
Top with sesame seeds or green onions for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
